This is kind of funny response from the vendor, yes, any negative reviews would result in some sort of loss of sales, BUT also positive reviews would bump up sales, when there are both of those in the wild, I don't think it is fair to sue or threaten the independant reviewers, if that is moral to do so he should also divide his sales revenue to those who give rave reviews right?

One thing to notice with the "poor reviews" is that in each instance, the product was not new or direct from the manufacturer but a used piece of kits where the reviewer has NO IDEA what the person who sent them the sample had done or not done with respect to modifications, environment, use or maintenance.
Obviously Amir could not have gotten any info on the 275 as the company that produced them had gone put of business. Amir also has a habit of trashing companies he dislikes by "reviewing" 30-40 year old devices in questionable condition. As for the Tektons, my Double Impact SE and 2x10 powered subs sound great to me. But I got them new, take care of them and push them with LOTS of Carver POWER.

The latest review in Stereophile was totally derailed in the comments at the end. Took away from a fairly positive review. I still like my pendragon even if they don’t measure great

Thanks for the detailed overview. It looks like some of the videos are gone from Tekton so the trail is being swept clean.

In reply to <a href="https://www.audioresurgence.com/2024/04/tekton-speakers-reviewing-debacle-and-manufacturer-bullying.html#comment-29560">Richard Forster</a>.

Granted, things are strange indeed. I haven't really caught up with the latest on this saga, my brain imploded over the weekend just trawling through the hundreds of comments on ASR..
It looks to me like Tekton didn't have any compatible measurements for the Mini Lore (my opinion, I can't prove it, don't sue me :). If they'd had actual measurements, there's no way Alexander would've made a fuss about the missing feet, as he'd have known that the speakers basically didn't test much differently with the feet installed. So back to my point, deflecting away from objective measurements when something doesn't measure properly might have been a more sane strategy.

"By emphasizing a long track record of positive customer feedback and the overall value of their product range, Tekton might have steered the conversation from technical measurements to their reputation for proven user satisfaction."

OK, but objectively, the measurements were correct and the product has flaws that can be avoided in some competitors products. Assuming the measurements are representative of that specific product, there is the unfortunate conclusion that subjective audio opinions are as trustworthy as eye witness testimony - if it supports your preconception, it's a perfect opinion and you feel great. The audiophile world is a strange one indeed.
