Audio Exchange – Richmond’s Premier Audio and Video Specialists
^ That’s their own tagline, and I can’t fault it. I’ve bought gear from Audio Exchange several times over the last two years and I’ve always had a first-class experience interacting with their staff. At the front of the house, you’ll generally find Donny, the Sales Manager, flanked by Dave, the owner. I’ve spent time with both these guys and always found them to be honest and forthright and extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Sadly, since Covid, you’ll need to make an appointment to get inside the building, but it’s well worth the minor inconvenience. In fact, you could argue that the new ‘appointment only’ setup is beneficial to anyone who’s serious about actually buying anything since you’ll have more one-on-one time with the staff and there’ll be far less time pressure than before. They seem to like the current post-covid arrangement too, so everyone’s a winner.
You should also check out their website and, their eBay store, the latter being a great resource for new gear and accessories and also quality vinyl from MoFi / Ultradisc.
Oh, and it isn’t just your two-channel itch that they’ll scratch – home theatre gear and installations, multi-room audio/video, home networking, and more. (And a whole room dedicated to used / trade-in gear.)
Next time you’re in the area, make a detour and pay a visit to Audio Exchange and tell them that Audio Resurgence sent you – don’t forget to call ahead.
