Audio Research Corp. Reference 110 w/KT150 Stereo Power Amplifier [SOLD]

ARC Reference 110 power amp with very rare KT150 tube upgrade.

You’ll see the occasional Ref 110 for sale, and every once in awhile a Ref 110 running KT120’s. This is a KT150 version, a significant step up in performance and power over the base Ref 110.

ARC built several models of Reference series power amps, which could be factory upgraded to allow running of KT150’s. These were then given the ‘SE’ designation. The Reference 110 however required no modification to run with KT150’s, they can be fitted as standard provided the tubes themselves meet factory specs and are properly matched. If you’re concerned in any way because you’ve read conflicting information online about the amp’s ability to work with the KT150 tubes, without modification, then don’t be. I have an email direct from ARC Tech Support stating that the amp works fine, unmodified, with the larger KT150. The new tubes were installed and biased by my local ARC dealer, Audio Advice, in Raleigh, NC.

The amp is in fine condition, no serious marks on the faceplate and some small rubs/scratch marks on the top plate. There are a few screws missing from the cover which I will endeavor to replace before shipping.
Tubes have minimal use from being replaced (matched spec tubes from ARC) but the hour meter has not been reset, which I believe is a factory tech job.

World-class detail, transparency, and resolving power. Huge soundstage both depth and width. Lots of power from the KT150’s.

I do not have the original box, but I received a quote from ARC and it can be had for $240 (plus shipping) if you want the box and all internal packaging at some point. Or, I can purchase the box for you and ship the amp to you in the new box (Add $250 to listing price)
